The Meteors would like to Thank Favell Fitness Training

It is with the heaviest of hearts that we announce the passing of our loved one Tony Passero after a short illness at the Hamilton General Hospital on Saturday April 6, 2019. Tony leaves behind his wife of 28 years Cheryl, his adoring children Meaghan, Nikolas and Anthony, the lights of his life his three granddaughters Delaney "Big D", Reaghan "Blondie" and Myley "Chochie". His most special love, his mother Maria and his two brothers Sam and Gino. He is the loving uncle to Maria and Glenn Burke and Frank Passero. Brother in law to Joy (Dan) Hatcher, Dave (Julie) Anthony, Ron (Sharon) Anthony and is survived by many nieces and nephews. Tony was loved by all his Passero and Sansano cousins and far too many friends to name. Predeceased by his father Frank (1996) Tony was the face of the Fort Erie Meteors for over 40 years and a disappointed Leafs fan for 50+. The lives he touched in the hockey world and beyond are immeasurable. Benner Funeral Services, 1105 Benner Ave., Fort Erie entrusted with arrangements. The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 5-8 and on Wednesday from 2-8. Funeral Services will be held at the Fort Erie Leisureplex on Thursday morning at 11 am. Interment to follow in McAffee Cemetery. After much thought the family would encourage those considering making donations to consider the Canadian Diabetes Association or the Tony Passero Memorial Fund.

ANTHONY WAS NAMED FIRST TEAM ALL SUNYAC AFTER LEADING THE LAKERS IN SCORING 

WITH 9 GOALS AND 19 ASSISTS FOR 28 POINTS.  HE WAS FIFTH IN CONFERENCE SCORING.

ANTHONY ADDED AN ASSIST IN OSWEGO STATE SEMI-FINAL WIN OVER PLATTSBURGH STATE.

THIS COMES AFTER LEADING BUFFALO STATE FOR TWO YEARS IN SCORING BEFORE TRANSFERING THIS YEAR.

ALSO ANTHONY ADDED M.V.P. FOR OSWEGO STATE .
